scala conferences 2025

Casual Scala meetup in Oslo – no agenda, just code, conversation, and craft beer. Held monthly at Nedre Foss Gård, this is a space to share ideas, float questions, or just connect with fellow devs. Next round is Wednesday, Nov 5 at 18:00.

Scala Talks: Write a book about Scala during Covid & AI tooling for developers | London Scala User Group

Head over to this in‑person gathering of Scala developers in London, where you’ll connect with peers working across Scala, functional programming and related frameworks. Expect a mix of lightning talks, community discussion and social time to share your experiences and ask questions. Great for anyone looking to deepen their Scala craft in a friendly local setting.

Effect-TS: ZIO through the lens of Typescript | Dallas Scala Enthusiasts

Join this monthly online meet‑up where Scala developers around Dallas gather to discuss ideas, bring questions, or present mini‑talks (all experience levels welcome). Great for peer learning, sharing small projects or just getting back to functional programming with Scala.

Since the event is virtual, connect from wherever you are – and come ready for spontaneous discussion rather than a formal agenda.

ScalaBridge Online | ScalaBridge London

Join the virtual session from the ScalaBridge London community on Thursday, Nov 20. Choose between two streams: “Foundations” (for developers newer to programming) or “Projects” (for more experienced coders working on practical applications). The event runs on Discord, so be sure to join the community beforehand.

Software Architecture

Øredev 2025 – Developers Conference

From AI workflows to DevOps pipelines and event-driven systems, Øredev is where serious devs converge to sharpen their edge. Set in Malmö, Sweden (Nov 5-7), this three‑day conference blends deep‑dive tech talks with real‑world architecture lessons, hands-on sessions, and a broad mix of engineering topics,  from data mesh to software security. Expect an international crowd, sharp speakers, and plenty of hallway conversations that go way beyond the slides.

APIdays Amsterdam

This one‑day conference focuses on how APIs are powering automation, AI‑driven services, monetisation strategies, security and emerging architecture. With 20+ expert speakers ready to share practical insights and real‑world case studies, it’s an ideal dive for API‑builders, architects and platform thinkers.

Whether you’re focused on API governance, platform design, or API‑first business models,  you’ll find actionable takeaways and fresh perspectives.

QCon San Francisco 2025

Gear up for five days of concentrated developer‑craft at QCon San Francisco (November 17‑21, 2025): three days of packed sessions followed by two days of focused training. You’ll dive into GenAI in production, resilient & distributed architectures, Rust in the wild, staff+ engineering challenges, cloud‑native operations and next‑gen frontend paradigms. Sessions are led by senior engineers and architects – real problems, real solutions, zero fluff.

Plus: a consciously inclusive setup (quiet zones, lactation rooms, accessibility features), rich peer‑sharing events, and a venue built for networking, collaborating, challenging your assumptions and leaving with fresh perspectives and connections.

Software Architecture Gathering 2025

Dive into advanced software‑architecture thinking at this flagship conference organised by the International Software Architecture Qualification Board. With multiple tracks that span from shaping large‑scale system designs to AI‑driven architecture and business/management concerns, this event is built for practising architects, lead engineers, and anyone shaping system structure in code‑centric teams.
Expect a packed agenda of keynotes, workshops, and lightning sessions, all focused on professional insight rather than buzzword hype.

Frontend

DevOpsDays Warsaw 2025

Taking place 4-5 November 2025 at the Sound Garden Hotel in Warsaw, this conference brings together DevOps practitioners, developers, SREs, managers and tech leaders for deep sessions, open-space discussions and lightning talks on topics like cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD, Kubernetes and culture. Sponsored by the global DevOpsDays network, the edition is bilingual (English & Polish) and designed for both hands‑on engineers and cross‑functional teams.

JoyConf LA 2025

Taking place on November 6, 2025 at The Hudson Loft in Los Angeles, this one‑day conference by Storyblok is aimed at developers, marketers and digital innovators. The agenda blends tech‑centric sessions (e.g., building plugins, open‑source integrations) with content- and marketing‑led talks (e.g., AI‑search for SEO, content productivity).

If you’re working at the intersection of content systems and engineering, this is a strong chance to plug into emerging workflows, see how content platforms scale, and network with folks shaping the stack.

WarsawJS Meetup #132 – onsite

This in‑person gathering at 42 Warsaw brings together JavaScript developers to dive into three talks: one exploring the journey with Lynx.js, another dissecting “JavaScript demons” and how to detect them, and a third on using Temporal for reliable workflows. Led by experienced practitioners Łukasz Chludziński, Maciej Papiewski, and Tomasz Nurkiewicz, this event is designed for anyone working with JS who is looking for deeper insights and live community interaction.

React Summit US

Two days of deep‑dive React ecosystem insights (in person + online) scheduled for 18 -21 November 2025 at the Liberty Science Centre. The event features over 50 speakers across two tracks (Base Camp & Summit) and expects thousands of front‑end and full‑stack engineers. Topics include cutting‑edge work with React, server‑rendering, AI in UI, architecture at scale, and hybrid workshop streams.

Whether you’re building large‑scale React apps, exploring AI‑powered UI, or just keeping up with the ecosystem, this event offers strong networking, practical sessions, and a chance to catch up with the community.

meet.js #Poznań

This edition of the local JavaScript community meetup focuses on real-world collaboration between devs and PMs: “PM in practice - help or hindrance?” Expect a relaxed, experience‑sharing format where attendees bring their own stories, successes and failures.

If you’re working in JS/Frontend and want to hear from peers about team dynamics, this is a good one to include.

React Advanced London 2025

Dive into the cutting edge of the React ecosystem at React Advanced London (both in‑person and online). This conference focuses on deep technical topics, from architecture and performance to new React core features and real‑world scalability challenges. Expect hands‑on workshops, expert‑level talks and plenty of peer networking for engineers looking to level up.

Conclusion

From open‑source sprints to full‑stack deep dives, this month’s lineup proves that learning doesn’t just happen alone in front of a screen. It’s in the questions asked after talks, the API debates over coffee, and the chance to hear how others are solving the same challenging problems.

Stay sharp, stay curious, and we’ll catch you in December – with plenty more architecture, Scala, and frontend in store.
